I know, I know. I should be in India by now. There have been a few hiccups during this process, to say the least.

I was offered a job by McCain in India, however because of some complications, I was not able to get a work visa to do this job. So if I want to work, there are two options... we move to China, or Gordon finds another job within McCain. So as it stands now, we are heading to China at the beginning of May to see if it is a place that we could live. In the meantime, I have got a visitors visa for India, and should finally be joining Gordon there next week.

The process over the past few months has been enough to drive us crazy. Gordon has not only started a new job and is alone in India, but he is running around trying to help me get to India. A process that we thought would be quite simple has turned out to be monumentally complex and frustrating. I finally have the documents to apply for my Chinese visa today, but would be believe it that I can only apply between 8am and 12pm, in PRETORIA. So another day passes that proves fruitless.

The upside of all of this is that I have had a wonderful time spending time with my friends and family. Coffee, movies, sleep-overs have all been soul restoring and uplifting. I haven't taken a moment for granted. Even better news, is that I will be back in May to write my exams and apply for a visa to live and work in China. So there will be no 'goodbye', only 'see you later'.
