The mountains were fantastic, even with the haze from the burning season. We did a walk by ourselves the first day. We were told it was a three hour walk - after seven hours we made it back to our car having had to scramble up the last section of "foot path" onto the top plateau and scramble down the other side, and we were very hungry! The views from the top were excellent, and a lovely sense of isolation.

The following day we did a walk to the top of the Amphitheatre. Even more spectacular views on the way up, right through the "Dragon Mountains" towards Lesotho - endless blue ridges of mountains. The views from the top into the valleys went on for miles and miles. A much easier walk than the day before!
