Storms River, Nov 22nd and 23rd

Reached Storms River in the evening, this is a place full of adventure stuff and near the TsitsiKamma National Park. When I arrived at the backpackers, there was a fire going on and people sitting around it and drinking, met a group of South African girls who had just passed out of college and taking a roadtrip to decide what they want to do next. They had so many questions on India and opportunities there 😊

Its interesting how little people know about India in general and especially how the country is doing in the recent past. Partied till 2AM, then crashed, undecided what to do the next day.

Met a British lady and decided to go hiking in the Tsitsikamma National Park, to the Storms River Mouth. It was a relatively easy walk, but the view is brilliant. After the first walk and lunch, decided to do one more walk (I think I can hike much better now than I could when I started). A walk is so peaceful, especially when you have nothing on your mind, but just the next step you take.

In the evening, at the backpackers, met Daniel and Stephan (German guys) who had just come back from doing the Bungee. They were still on a high and encouraging everyone to do the Bungee. Then two German girls came over, Jana and Kat and Jana said she will be doing the Bungee. I was pretty sure I would never do such a crazy thing, but after talking to the two guys and understanding how the jump works and looking at Jana's enthusiasm, I decided to do the Bungee.

The Bloukrans River bungee at Storms River Village is the highest bungee in the world, 216 meters from a bridge. I made a promise to Jana that we will jump, and there was no way I would go back on a promise given to a lady 😊

We sat and drank till late evening, even played a drinking game ("Kings"), it was lots of fun. Went to sleep without thinking too much about the jump and high and happy.
