Ok.
After spending the day in Knysna, walking around the Waterfront and getting lost in the city, I took off to Plettenberg Bay.
Back when I was in Stellenbosch, I met a couple from Plett who owns a backpackers outside of town.
So I was very excited to meet up with them again and spend some time on their farm.
I get there Thursday night, and everyone's in the bar, chilling around the fire.
Vicki and Matt are the people I met in Stellenbosch who own the place.
Then Tyrone and Darryn manage it.
Hercules does like, everything, he's a super handy man.
They also have dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, chickens... Everything.
I was the only guest, which was awesome because they moved me to a sweet room with an ensuite (my very own bathroom! For the first time in three weeks!).
So right. Thursday we were chilling, having a few drinks.
Everyone was harassing me to bungee jump (the highest bungee in the world is in Storms River, which is like an hour from Plett).
I told them NO WAY, NEVER, I would rather sky dive.
So me and Matthew start talking about skydiving, because he's been waiting
to go.
The next morning, Darryn comes and wakes me up and tells me "Kyley, you better get ready, you're going sky diving at 130".
So I spent the morning and the early afternoon absolutely freaking out.
Went to the sky dive place.
When you sign in, they ask for your next of kin, which made me panic a lot.
Next thing you know, 5 of us (Me, Donovan the guy I jumped with, Matthew, Jeff the guy he jumped with, and the pilot, also wearing a parachute).
Thankfully I'd taken a motion sickness pill, or I would've puked a hundred times.
The plane ride was BEAUTIFUL and it was really cool to get to see everything from the air.
I was feeling pretty calm, until we hit 10,000 feet.
Donovan straps me in an opens the door.
It's not like in the movies where you get sucked out.
You have to move your legs around to the side of the plane and jump from there.
Thankfully, as soon as you think "what am I doing I'm going to die I can't do this" you've already been pushed out of the plane and you're flying towards the ground.
We
had like 30 seconds of free fall, which was amazing.
Then unfortunately Donovan wanted to do all these spins with the shute, which made me very very ill.
you can see on the video.
And my hair elastic came out and my hair slapped him in the face.
We made it safely to the ground, and I'm actually so so glad I did it.
Even though it took me a couple hours to recover from the motion sickness.
Friday night Matt and Vicki let the boys off the farm to take me out on the town.
We went out dancing, had a great time.
Saturday... I think I just recovered from the crazy day before. I don't know.
Sunday me and Tyrone went over to the Knysna Elephant Park.
You could ride the elephants, but we just chose to feed and pet them.
It was so so cool.
On Friday night, we had met this cool chick named Claire who works at a restaurant named Emily Moon.
Tyrone had never been there, so I said I would take him for lunch.
Turns out it's a stunning restaurant.
We got there too early for supper, so we sat
on the porch and watched the sunset.
Then I had the best fish I've ever had in my whole life.
Followed by dessert and coffee around the fireplace.
It turned out being quite a fancy date for two people not really on a date.
But it was tons of fun.
Monday I did a four hour hike around Robberg Nature something.
It's a national park.
It was a fantastic hike, and I'm glad I got there when I did because the tide was getting pretty high.
I mostly chilled for the next couple days.
It was nice to just relax, watch some tv for the first time, read, hang out at the farm.
Last night I had to leave though.
Vicki and Matthew took me and the boys to the Lookout for sundowner cocktails before I went, which was so sweet.
Then I jumped on the bus, which unfortunately someone had puked in earlier in the day, so it was quite the long two and a half hour ride to Jeffrey's Bay.
Now I'm in J-Bay, which supposedly has some of the best waves in the world.
I think I'm going to spend three nights here,
we'll see.
But I'm missing all the sunlight so I better head for the beach.
StarlingStarling Village Backpackers, where I spent 6 fantastic nights.

Send Private MessageKyley!! love the pictures, it looks beautiful there!! Can you put a little baby elephant in a suit case and bring him home for me? I think he'd get along with the cats.
