Are you interested?

I’m shifting the nature of this blog from which is process driven (listing the days/weeks activities) to one which also documents my thoughts as my journey unfolds....so today a word on being interested.

Something I love about being in Africa is just how amazingly inquisitive the people are here. Literally not a day goes by when someone doesn’t come up to me and bombard me with the funniest questions. They wanna know where im going, what i have bought at the supermarket, how many brothers and sisters I have and what sports I play. Its refreshing to see people being genuinely interested in those around them. Granted this is because I stick out like a saw thumb but nevertheless it illustrates the point. I think we have become so cocooned in our own lives that we forget to be interested in our surroundings including the people that define them.
