The morning was unusually quiet, but I still was up at 7 o'clock, because the sun was shining right on my bed and it got incredibly warm. When I get back home I want to sleep in and have a bread roll with cheese for breakfast! Also my nose was running, I think Nellie got me sick. I started getting ready and Nellie joined me. We wondered if our money had arrived at the bank yet, so we decided to check on that. Nellie went to a bank in the mall and I went to the bank of Kigali to get my money. We were lucky! The money was there and I could buy food again. When I waited for her at the Bourbon Coffee I saw her standing in line at the Nakumatt. The cashier recognized her and asked her where I was. How embarassing... we were only a week in Rwanda and always hanging out at the same spots. After that we had breakfast and got some more groceries. Back in our room, we had a little siesta, because it was too hot outside to be doing anything else. Afterwards we paid a visit to the post office and
to an internet café where we got to tell everyone over facebook we were still alive. We then decided to go all the way down to the bus station to buy our tickets for our return to Kampala. We had to go all the way back ( which was like 1 km uphill). We took a little detour through a market and I was able to answer most of the peoples questions in Rwandan ( it was the usual "Hi, how are you?" "Good, thanks. How are you?", but still!) and a guy came up to Nellie telling her how hard the Africans had it in life. On our way back we passed another little grocery store and I got some mangojam there. We left all our stuff in our room and I called Peter to tell him about our return on Monday. Since we got hungry we went to the Bourbon Coffee again to eat. Yves joined us to give us some instructions on our trip tomorrow. How we can get to the memorial and so on. Nellie and I went grocery shopping at our favorite Nakumatt for the last time and hung out the rest of the time
at the hotel.
