The ferry was delayed even further by a bit of rough weather, so we quickly gave up the idea of being able to catch a night-train. Thrown straight into the hustlers, beggars and general differences in culture took us a bit by surprise even though we should have expected it, a man throwing himself at our feet, kissing the ground and our shoes - what's a good responce to that?

After a nights sleep the city looks a lot more friendly in daylight, walking around the medina (central town).

After walking around and looking at things, trying the local mint-tea and various sweet things we walked up, up and further up the hills. We eventually got out of the crowded areas and to what looked more fancy. The guards outside a big white place, enlightened us it was a "guesthouse" for the palace. Chatted some with the guards there and they said it was fine to walk around the place and down to the sea on the other side. No pictures from the palace, not sure how apreciated that would have been. We walked/climbed down the hills/cliffs heading for the small beach visible down there. Part of the way turned interesting with slippery cliffs and large rocks in the way. Eventually we got out and after the beach we found ourself on a construction-site next to the port where we arrived last night.

We're going to the train-station soon to see if we can find a night-train to Marrakesh.
