Marcel in Mohammedia
Selling the most expensive fish in Morrocco We arrived in Mohammedia and stayed at La Ocean for a couple of days. The town is just north of Casablanca and the parking was just on the sea.
In the morning the fishermen arrived and were selling there catch of the day. Marcel was the best salesman he sold fish at the double of the market price, but was polite and entertaining and his appearance was enjoyed by everybody.
We hired a taxi for the day and went sightseeing in Casablanca. The Hassan III mosque in Casablanca is appointed the most beautiful mosque in the world, partly built on water and partly on land. Quite and impressing building. If I should consider a new business, maybe it should be within a religion, it seems that they are making huge profits, both in the muslim the catholics and traditional christians. Its just a choice.
The medina (old town) were full of shops everything from oranges via food, carpets, electronics actually anything were pushed and negotiations are part of the shopping, 75% down is neccesary, to close a good deal.
Marrakesh are next goal for our trip, we went via the traditionally tourist traps and enjoyment. The medina
Mohammedia
Local fruit shopping in daytime and evening. The souks (shops) fresh juice, restaurant, street offers like an iPhone 5 offered for 250€, after a good look it turned out to be an chinese android copy, sold on the net for approx 60 US$. No deal.
We looked forward to welcome our family and move from our 5 star Concorde into 5 star Kenzi Farah hotel in Marrakesh. After three months on the road we were curious how it would be to live in a house. We definitely looked forward to celebrate Christmas with our family. And we use the opportunity to wish all our followers a Happy Christmas.
