Morocco Gateway is a new online hotel enquiry service dedicated exclusively to Morocco.
The website seeks to provide new levels of detailed, accurate and independent information on the widest wide range of hotels and riads in Morocco.
The site already provides the widest choice of hotel, riad and kasbah accommodation in the UK travel market. Currently, 28 places to stay throughout Morocco are listed by Morocco Gateway, which plans to increase this number to around 60 by the end of 2009.
About Morocco Gateway
• Morocco Gateway directly addresses the preference of many tourists to have more control over their selection and booking of hotel accommodation by leaving the final booking of hotels to the guests themselves. Morocco Gateway instead focuses on helping its users to search easily for their hotels of choice, using information and images of the highest quality, accuracy and independence.
• Users can also view and post reviews of each hotel. All reviews posted on the site are audited as authentic by the Morocco Gateway team before they are posted.
• Users of Morocco Gateway also benefit from a range of special offers that have been negotiated on their behalf.
• The site also contains plenty of useful and up-to-date travel and country information, advice and links for those interested in staying in Morocco.
The hotels and riads
Morocco Gateway lists hotels in all the popular tourist regions of Morocco: Marrakech and its surrounding region, Fez and its surrounding region, The Atlas Mountains, Tangier and the Mediterranean Coast, and the Atlantic Coast to include Rabat, Casablanca, El Jadida, Safi, Essaouira and Agadir.
The website is also able to offer a range of types of accommodation for all tastes and budgets including luxury, mid-price and value hotels, traditional or style focused, family or single traveller friendly, activity focused, spa retreats, eco-friendly or other highly distinctive and unique experiences.
All Morocco Gateway hotels share the common characteristics of being clean, well-managed and good value for money. If a hotel does not meet any of these pre-conditions it is the rule of Morocco Gateway that it will be removed from the site.
Who is behind Morocco Gateway
Morocco Gateway has been developed by Tim and Nicola Evans, a young London-based couple who have travelled widely in Morocco, their favourite country.
Tim and Nicola decided to establish Morocco Gateway in 2008 in response to their own frustrations of being offered only a limited choice of accommodation (often with inaccurate, out-of-date information) by travel agents.
Other info
Morocco Gateway actively and consistently promotes all aspects of responsible tourism amongst its users and its hotels, particularly environmentally considerate practices.
