Hello friends, family and followers!
We're so sorry for the lack of blogs lately. We have a bunch ready to post but the internet connection in South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland and where we are now, Malawi, is SO slow and at times, non-existent.
We're having a great time. Spent 5 weeks in South Africa, rented a car and drove around the whole country. We also popped into little Swaziland for 3 nights on a beautiful national park. We stayed in a traditional home called a roundevel and woke up every morning with coffee while watching wild antelope and wart hogs graze 10 feet away. From there we went to Mozambique for a month, which is now one of our favourite countries! We met up with 2 Germans and spent 3 weeks straight with them travelling from South (Nick dove with humpback whales and we both snorkelled with whale sharks!) to North, stopping in the remote far north at Quirimbas Archipelego where we sailed for 3 days and slept on the beach under only a mosquito net. The islands were the most beautiful islands we've ever seen. Powdery white sand, perfect turquoise water, no development on the islands whatsoever, only a small African village. It was amazing.
We are now in Malawi and are heading to Monkey Bay/Cape Maclear to enjoy the beautiful fresh water lake!
Hope to post soon, we have videos of lions, giraffes, humpback whales, penquins and surfing!
