Well, I've been in Tana a couple of days now and I'm getting to know my way around (which is more than I can say for these French layout keyboards!). It's not a bad little city - all hills lined with terracotta buildings and streets filled with little Renaults, Citröen 2CVs and battered 4WDs. It bustles moderately - more Abergavenny on a market day than Calcutta, as an example. More beggars though - unfortunately, many young children - and more aging French ex-pats with tucked in t-shirts and, more often than not, unreasonably young Malagasy girls on their arm. The sky
