Looks like I will be here another night because my VISA for Mali won't be done until the afternoon.
I guess that is ok, it might be worth it to walk around the city a bit feeling healthy for the first time.
It poured rain last night, like, really really hard rain.
The most rain I have ever heard or seen before.

I had a really delicious meal of fish and pasta for dinner before wandering around the streets aimlessly looking for something to do. I found nothing which I guess shouldn't be too surprising.
The only thing to do here is buy scultures or football jerseys, neither of which I am really that interested in. The men are always surprised when I tell them that I don't watch football. Football is the only thing that makes people happy here.

I have figured out rather well how the shared taxis work. There are a bunch of hand waving signs. Fortunately it is always simpler if you are alone.
So I have no squished myself into a number of these much cheaper taxis.

I am going to be prepared to leave for somewhere in Fouta Jaloun tomorrow morning. I will then spend a night or two there before heading onto Mali. Mali has always kind of been the center peice of my trip. It is supposed to be some kind 'pearl' in west africa. Well I hope so, but I don't know, Mauritania will be hard to beat.

First when I get there I have to deal with all the VISA card crap and then I have to deal with getting my Burkina Faso VISA. It seems that I am always at embassies nowadays.

Oh well,
Part of seeing so many countries quickly I suppose.

I guess I am going home in just over a months time!
