Wowsers. Check it.. Dahab. Egypt. The Red Sea.

Yesterday I snorkeled the Blue Hole.

Last night, or the very wee hours of this morning I climbed Mt Sinai to watch the sunrise. Took over 2 hours to climb up. Then an unintentional (?) challenge from our Bedioun guide when he said he could get down in 12 minutes - I made it in 20. Not bad for someone whose sole exercise regime for the past year has been walking to the metro station.

Today, my last day, I did an introductory dive course and if I may use the words of my instructor was 'perfect'. Very very cool.

We leave very early tomorrow morning to travel about 17 hours and end up roughly 50km from where we are now because the truck can't fit on the ferry across from the Sinai penisula.
Lucky I can sleep anywhere.

Cheers folks,
Love from a slighty tanned/somewhat pink skinned Jodes. :D

I suppose I'm the Mid-Twenties Crisis Traveller. Just had enough of what was going on here and decided to see what else there was to life. Stay tuned. Stripped of your ordinary surroundings, your friends, your daily routines, your refrigerator full of your food, your closet full of your clothes - with all this taken away, you are forced into direct experience. Such direct experience inevitably makes you aware of who it is that is having the experience. That's not always comfortable, but it is always invigorating.[/q... full info

The regularity and richness of the annual Nile River flood, coupled with semi-isolation provided by deserts to the east and west, allowed for the development of one of the world's great civilizations. A unified kingdom arose circa 3200 B.C. and a ser...more info
