Sailin a Falucca.

If you had happened to be around a particular area on the banks of the Nile river between Aswan & Luxor, on this particular night! You would have been treated to my singin & dancing around a fire joined by a bunch of Bediwan kids & Cpt'n Happy & crommy bangin out on the drums! Top Craic!

We enbarked on our 2 nite falucca journey in the arve with our fellow passangers (An old canadian couple, french couple, japanese gal & another aussie lad) All in the capable..ish hands of captain happy ( how thought that he was bob marley) and crommy the cook/mate(basically Capt'n happy's bitch!)

D1- Sailed along, read a book, listened to tunes, chatted with our fellow voyagers, beer & a sunset, pulled into the bank for the nite then capt'n happy took us to his village & we had a tea with his family & then off to meet crommy's fam and there crazy little goat!

D2- Not much sleep, bloody cold, uncomforable & mozzies! Had brekky, sailed abit, stopped @ a "beach" for lunch, had a top swim ( "which is definatlly not recommended" LP), wild camels on the bank, more sailin then stopped on the bank for the night.
We went to the nearby village for a shi-sha in a rooftop cafe for sunset, a bareback camel ride & back to the boat for another shithouse sleep!

D3-Said our goodbyes to happy & crommy & convoeyed it to the Kom Ombo temple then to Edfu & the temple of horus (the falcon headed god) then onward to Luxor.
