Our second day on our ship, we docked in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. It is located on the most southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. Sharm El-Sheikh means "Bay of Sheikh" in Arabic. It is also called the "City of Peace" because so many international peace conferences are held there. It has the simplicity of sun, sand and sea and the luxury of five star hotels, water sports, shopping and entertainment.

We decided not to take the tour we were signed up for because it entailed another 4x4 open air jeep trip and we decided we had inhaled enough dust. We decided instead to go on the glass bottom boat and see some of the reported 1,000 species of fish and over 250 species of coral reefs. We were not disappointed.
