I have been in Sharm El Sheikh for a couple of days now; and with a plethora of activities available to indulge here throughout the day and night, as well as the incessant fun and entertainment, carousing, revelries, and most of all the indescribable grandeur of the nature, this extraordinary Red Sea resort in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt didn’t have to try hard to seduce me. Unsurprisingly, no new posts in my blog days after my flight landed here is testimony to the riveting time that I have had so far during my stay. A wide array of things to do here left no time for me to worry about the world; put aside my blog!
Accommodation We checked into Novotel as soon as we got off out flights here. Like most other resorts in this part of Egypt, Novotel provides wonderful access to the beachfront. It is strategically located in the Naama-bay and came highly recommended by some friends back in England. Much as it may be expensive and burn a bigger hole in your pocket than many cheaper hotels located inland, it’s every bit worth the money that you spend. We saved on our air tickets for flights and other expenses just to be able to afford a beach resort. After all, booking a beachside hotel is the key to a successful beach holidays, not just booking flights tickets to arrive in this amazing coastal resort of Egypt.
Hotel Service Impressive service and a crew that is efficient, caring and friendly; well appointed rooms with fascinating interiors and perfect ambience are the hallmark of this establishment. And the swimming pool of Novotel gets a ten outta ten in my book! There is also an outdoor heated pool if you are done with the beach but still want to take a plunge! The services on offer designed to spoil one silly include Novotel’s ‘hammam’ and ‘fitness centre’. Our dining experience at Novotel has been one of the best so far; and the open air dining at Al Dente while relishing the Italian food under starry skies was definitely the highlight of our stay here. All in all the stay at hotel is worth all the efforts and monies spent on air tickets for flights to this part of Egypt.
Pick up a canopy out on the sandy shore and you have picked your tickets to the paradise! Relax, unwind and give flights to your fancies while watching the gentle, frothy waves caressing the shore one after the other. Weather is pleasant throughout and there is good amount of sun to attain great tan. The balmy waters, the underwater marine life at Naama bay, the glass bottom boating and sailing excursions and lots of other water related activities will simply keep you baffled for choice like it did to us! No wonder flight tickets to this Red Sea hot-spot are always in short supply.
Beaches and Watersports Naama, Nabq and Shark’s bay are among the best places at the destination for unrivalled beach fun as well as diving and snorkeling. White Knight bay snorkeling experience would bring you face to face with a world of interesting marine creatures in all their glory. The Ras Mohammed National Park coral reefs simply delight divers and snorkellers and lure them to book tickets on Sharm-El-Sheikh bound flights time and again. Swimming at many beaches is best accessible through jetties for the rock formations, cliffs and coral reefs extending out on the shoreline. Dahab, not far from Naama Bay, features popular reefs and windsurfing conditions making it a fascinating place for divers and snorkelers alike.

Sharm El Sheikh ’s holiday will follow shortly.
