So I'm here! This will be a quick update as I've fallen well behind. Yes...I can now say I've been to the Pyramids of Giza. Wow! Was really fabulous. Getting into Cairo was...interesting. On the way from the airport to hotel counted no less than 6 accidents...traffic is MAD! In total, spent a couple of days in Alexandria and a couple in Cairo then joined the group for the 'Nile Safari' tour. Feel very lucky, group is wonderful and my room mate is a terrific match! Most from Oz and NZ with a couple of Brits, 1 American and 1 Canadian (me;) mixed in to keep it interesting!

Pyramids were on the second day...I think the photos we all have seen before show it so I've tried to include my little 'odd' shots to mix it up a bit. Next we overnight on the train to Luxor (formerly Thebes) then onto the boat up the Nile! Later!
