Beef jerkey - yum
Reeses Pieces - deserves its own bullet point, they're that good.
Candy - Any dry candies (
reeses pieces m&m's, reeses pieces peanut butter cups (get the hint yet?), oreos, etc)
Trail mix - home made is probably the cheapest way to get lots of it, and you add what you want. Lots of nuts, raisins, m&m’s. the zip lock bags are also useful.
Cheese - The dried parmesan stuff that keeps forever
Pop tarts - great for bfast
Chocolate - yes even though it will come somewhat melted its hard to find here and expensive
Chicken and tuna in a can
Freeze dried meals, esp. deserts - they are usually made specifically for and/or by companies that do camping equipment. Deserts are hard to come by here and the meals usually just require hot water. Dinner in a bag.
Powdered drink mix - even the large containers are good because the containers come in handy afterwards. Otherwise zip lock bags are best for packing
Granola Bars / cliff bars - peanut butter flavor is my favorite
